What does the Pilotta ticket include?
The Teatro Farnese, the Galleria Nazionale, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, the Biblioteca Palatina with the Petitot Gallery and the Museo Bodoniano, all on one visit.
You cannot buy a cheaper ticket for the theatre alone, which some visitors on Tripadvisor grumble about when they only wanted the theatre. The good news is that the theatre is the way into the Galleria Nazionale, so the ticket walks you straight from the wooden tiers to Correggio, Parmigianino and Leonardo's La Scapigliata. Keep it on you: the same ticket covers the library and the archaeological museum in the same palace.

The Pilotta sells its tickets itself: at the box office or on its ticka.it shop. They are not sold on GetYourGuide or Viator, and no tour listed on this site includes them except the private art day. On free days the online shop does not sell tickets, so you queue at the office. When the rooms get crowded, some galleries let in about 30 people at a time, so a busy Sunday afternoon can mean short waits inside.
What are the Teatro Farnese opening hours?
Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 to 19:00, last entry 18:00. It is closed on Mondays, except special openings on 6 April, 1 June, 2 November and 7 December 2026.
The North Halls of the Galleria Nazionale open later, at 10:30. On free days some rooms of the gallery keep shorter hours or stay closed because of 2026 staff shortages; the museum publishes a list of 'guaranteed itineraries', and on those days the theatre was listed as open 9:00 to 19:00.

Torrechiara, about 20 km south of Parma, opens Tuesday to Friday 9:00 to 15:00 and at weekends and holidays 11:00 to 17:00. The Spezieria, an old monastery pharmacy in central Parma, lets in only 15 visitors at a time.
